Teeth whitening in Stamford Hill, London

What is teeth whitening treatment?

One of the simplest, quickest and most effective ways to improve the appearance of your smile is with teeth whitening treatment. In fact teeth whitening can do far more than revitalise your smile – it can revitalise your self-image, your mannerisms and the impression that you make on others.

Our Teeth Whitening treatment provides immediate results and requires just an hour of your time. At the conclusion of this treatment, which is pain-free, fast and effective, your teeth will be up to eight shades whiter. Degree of lightness will vary from patient to patient. Some patients may need to repeat the procedure periodically to top up the effect.

Preparation before treatment care

It’s important before teeth whitening procedures to sort out any dental problems because they can affect the success of the treatment. For example, the whitening solution can pass through the decayed areas reaching the inner part of the teeth and it can make your teeth sensitive. Or, if you’ve got receding gums, the exposed roots may appear yellow and no whitening products can make them whiter.

Other teeth whitening treatment methods

We can provide you with teeth-whitening trays and gels to wear at home as an alternative teeth-whitening treatment. It’s important to note, that results can take longer to achieve than getting the treatment done at our practice.

Our dentists will take an impression of your teeth and build a tray with the exact measurements of your mouth, to carry out the procedure at home. The tray fits closely around the teeth and is filled with a whitening gel. Depending on the strength of the peroxide gel in the trays, they can vary in length of wear – from a few hours to overnight. Treatment can take from three days to a couple of weeks.

We’d recommend utilising our service for teeth whitening treatment to ensure you’re staying safe. Over-the-counter whitening kits use a generic sized tray, which could allow bleaching to come in contact with your gums, causing side effects. It’s not suited to your mouth and teeth, causing further damage, unlike our tailored trays and gels.
